Questions to Consider about Drone Warfare
Drone Warfare (background)
"Drones are armed, remotely piloted aircrafts used by the military for surveillance and air strikes in dangerous or risky situations. The United States uses drones to spy on and attack countries such as Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Yemen in an effort to locate and kill suspected terrorists and members and leaders of al-Qaeda, the Taliban, and ISIS.
Drone use is controversial and raises ethical, civil liberties, and privacy concerns. Some say the success rate of drones is too low, and many civilians have lost their lives during the US strikes in Pakistan. The United States, however, defends the use of drones, citing the war on terror as the main reason."
