Story of Me

Story of Me began with a desire to listen to and capture the unique stories of the very diverse student body at Niles North High School. Partly modeled after two existing programs, StoryCorps and The Race Card Project, our goal is to capture the stories of our students in varying mediums: written word, audio, and video.

There are many ways you can participate in Story of Me:

  • Six Word Story
  • Written Vignette
  • Audio Story
  • Video Story

6-Word Story

Think about who you are:

  • How do people percieve you?
  • How do you percieve yourself?
  • How would you like people to percieve you?

Now write a sentence or phrase using only six words that tells the story of you.

Examples:

Video Story

A two-minute video version of your story.

Once your video is completed, upload it to your d219 Youtube account and submit the link via email to Ms. Zbinden or Mr. Silverberg (see the box in the bottom right corner for more info). Need help with the process? Ask a librarian!
