Accessing Databases from Home

If you are a Niles North student and off-site (home, public library), click on the Niles North database link below, select the database you'd like to use, and enter your student login for access.

Step #1

1. Access the Gale Opposing Viewpoints database (a link is located in the box to the left).

2. Search on the words: stem cells

3. Read the article titled "Stem Cells" from the Opposing Viewpoints Collection, 2013.

4. Using the Citation Tool link create the citation for the article. Copy and paste the citation into a new Google Doc.

5. Create a 3-4 sentence annotation for the article.

Step #2

1. Using the Gale Opposing Viewpoints database find one more article of your choice.

2. Read the article. Create the citation for the article.

3. Copy and paste the citation into the your Google Doc and add a 3-4 sentence annotation for the article.

4 Make sure your citations are alphabetized.

5. Your final product should be a Works Cited Page with 3 annotated citations.
