In a futuristic world, teenaged Nailer scavenges copper wiring from grounded oil tankers for a living, but when he finds a beached clipper ship with a girl in the wreckage, he has to decide if he should strip the ship for its wealth or rescue the girl.
Paolo Bacigalupi has written magazine articles, short stories, and novels, all of which have been awarded. In addition to being an Abe Award book, Ship Breaker is a Printz Award Winner and a National Book Award Finalist. Paolo lives in Western Colorado with his wife and son.
