Summer Reading 2013: Home

All Niles North Students will have the opportunity to purchase a book at 75% off the list price. Students who qualify for fee waivers, free/reduced lunch will get a free book. The book prices will range from $1 - $4 and will be available for purchase on:

Monday, May 20 - Freshman Break for Books
Freshmen will have the opportunity to attend book talks on summer reading choices and purchase a book.

Tuesday, May 21 - Friday, May 24
All Students (Freshmen through Juniors) will have the opportunity to purchase a summer reading book during lunch periods and after school in the entrance lobby. Books will be offered at 75% off the list price ($1-$4).

Book sales will ONLY take place during this week!   CASH ONLY

Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors Only

Summer Reading is required of all Niles North students and should be completed before the start of the school year.  Each tab contains information (plot summaries, author info, book trailers) on a book - 25 books from which to choose. Remember you need only choose one title (but feel free to read more!). If you click on the image of the book you will find additional information about the book and an opportunity to read a portion of the book - always a good way to choose a book!

Incoming Freshman Only (please click)
Unlike other classes, incoming freshmen have one required summer reading book: Divergent by Veronica Roth. Please follow the link to information (plot summaries, author info, book trailer) on this one novel.

The Old Orchard Barnes and Nobles store has been notified about the summer reading choices and has added to its inventory.
